Wyoming / USA

Fantastic fossils from the Eocene are found in the US state of Wyoming, near Kemmerer. The sites, a former lake system, are also known as Fossil Lake or Green River fossils. The age of these wonderful fossils is approximately 45 million years. From there you can easily distinguish between two different types of plates: Firstly, the so-called "18 inch layer" (18-inch layer), in which the fossils are mostly dark in color, secondly, the so-called "sandwich bed layer", or also "Split fish layer". The pieces from there are rather brown in color.
